Dozens and dozens of recipes were entered in the first ever Amla Recipe Contest. Recipes were submitted throughout the entire month of July 2008 and judges voted on 5 contest categories. Drinks, salads, entrees, desserts and appetizers. Recipes were evaluated based on taste, originality, recipe clarity and presentation.

Ruthi Seward from Windermere, Florida received the most votes from our judges. She created a unique recipe including everyone's
favorite ingredient Amla Rush. She is the first grand prize winner overall. Her unique recipe Amla Berry Cobbler fell into the Dessert contest category.
